Welcome to CatchThe Center for the Advancement of Training in Clinical Hypnosis (CATCH) is an organization dedicated to teaching the theory and practice of clinical hypnosis to licensed mental health and medical professionals. Psychologists, clinical social workers, physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, and other medical professionals may participate in our training. Located in New York City, CATCH courses are offered in Manhattan and Westchester.

Clinical hypnosis is a powerful tool for treating a wide variety of emotional, behavioral, and medical problems. Hypnosis is a state of mental and inner focus in which the individual has the ability to access awareness not usually available in the waking state. It facilitates mind/body connections, helps access resources, enhances problem-solving and observational skill, and can modify emotional states.

Clinical hypnosis is especially effective in working with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and treatment impasses. It is also effective in treating habit control, phobias, panic disorder, weight management, eating disorders, and in enhancing peak performance. Medical applications include gastro-intestinal disorders, pain management, childbirth, sexual dysfunction, preparation for surgery, and the adjunctive treatment of various illnesses.

The Center for the Advancement of Training in Clinical Hypnosis (CATCH) provides courses required for professional certification by the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). Courses include lecture, demonstration, and small group practice.
